My crystal guardianship began about a decade ago when I was learning to make wire wrapped crystal jewelry. Creating with crystals sent me into a deep meditative state and helped me discover new depths of my consciousness. I fell in love with the unique formations, colors and personalities of the stones. I began connecting more with the frequencies and properties of the minerals.

As my jewelry skills developed, I realized the crystal talismans I was creating told a story. The energetic blueprint of my designs in coalescence with the stones drew in their perfect beholder. I began to receive feedback from the people that wore my work. They felt protected, more connected to spirit, more centered in thier being, like they couldn’t take the jewelry off. It became a part of them.

My work was always freestyle, I never had a plan for my jewelry pieces. I laid out my crystal selection on a tray in front of me, and started from a few pieces of wire. Weaving and shaping the wires around the crystals that would call out to me as I flowed.

I sold crystal jewelry on Etsy, at local markets, and festivals for years. Creating community along the way was the best part of the journey. From Chicago to Houston to Eugene, Oregon where I laid roots and had my son, Sage. Jewelry was a huge part of me and how I connected with myself, the earth, and those around me.

In 2020 my life was drastically shifting, amidst the pandemic. I ended a 7 year relationship, and starting focusing more on what my sovereignty looks like. I was working a job that wasn’t very fulfilling, there was a lack of outlets for community, markets were on lock-down. I wanted to create a life for my son and I that we could thrive in.

With the little resources I had, I found opportunity to open a boutique shop. There was a tiny storefront space nestled between a coffee shop and movement studio that Sage and I frequented in the Whiteaker Neighborhood. It was the perfect place where I could sell jewelry along with a collection of crystals. Sort of like a stationary market booth. I took the plunge, Flux Crystal Boutique was born right before the holidays in December 2020.

The way I structured Flux was much like my jewelry technique, freestyle and flowing. I fell in love with the Feng shui of combining natural elements, art, crystals, creating little energy altars around the store. Flux naturally attracted community through the crystals. People felt a calling to my store and the beauty it held.

It was almost effortless how these stones would come into my life to stock the shop. I met a few amazing suppliers that source crystals directly from the mines of Brazil, Morocco, South Africa, and many more places around the world. My process of curating crystals for Flux is intuitive to which stones call out to me. When sifting through thousands of crystals I make my selections keeping in mind certain colors, shapes, or people’s requests.

Naturally I have become a guide to the folks that walk into Flux. My joy is finding the perfect crystal match for what people are seeking. Working with the mineral kingdom has assisted me in countless ways. It has set me on an accelerated path to deeper healing and initiation of my life’s purpose.

Now, Flux has grown tremendously, we moved to our gorgeous downtown location in October 2022. We have formed a collective of artisans that run the storefront along with adorning the space with their creations. I had my second child, Rose Mary, in December 2023. It has been a dream come true to be able to run my business alongside my children and co-create with community. Thank you for following along on my journey.
